Being a surf beach, be mindful of the waves. The beach area in front of Chiton Rocks SLSC is patrolled by surf lifesavers during the summer months and is the ideal spot for families.
Walk 10 minutes along the beach from the SLSC to reach the Chiton Rocks rock pool and rock formation. The best time to go is during low tide when kids can explore the rocks and rock pool to look for sea creatures like starfish or even seahorses.
Experienced surfers and bodyboarders will appreciate the waves of Chiton Rocks beach, but be sure to familiarise yourself with where the rocks are.
