The current owners, the Gorman and Horrocks family have been operating the Port Elliot Bakery since 1989. Some people go for the pies and pasties and love popular flavours like the steak pie and the chicken korma pie, but I must confess we go for the sweets. Also a famous Inst spot.
Yum! Port Elliott Bakery is a favourite spot to buy lunch on the Fleurieu. But get in early to avoid the lineup! Fortunately they always have plenty of staff, so even if the lineup is out the door and way down the street, hop on as you’ll be served before you know it. Besides, it’s worth wait!
If you’re looking for a little 1/2 day trip to the ocean and some phenomenal baked goods, Port Elliot Bakery has been a family favorite for more than 40 years! We spent many weeks camping in the caravan park and eating these pastries. In the summer months, lines can wrap around the block. It’s worth the wait! From here you can also explore Victor Harbor.
