Renovated Rustic Stable Set in Rolling Hills
Awaken in a sleeping loft when morning light enters through a skylight slotted between century-old beams. Cook breakfast in a full kitchen as a grandfather clock sits in the corner, quietly ticking away, the chime has been silenced so it doesn’t disturb you.
This former stable of stone and brick is comfortable and fully updated.
Ready for cosy evenings with Wifi, Netflix and a games table all included.
We’re currently disinfecting the property to a Covid-19 standard and leaving 1 night gap between guests. The property is detached, has its own parking and access and contact free check in. We know you can enjoy your stay to the full, when safety isn’t a concern.
The Stables is a one bedroom barn conversion, that many years ago used to be (you guessed it!) the old Stables here at Daniels Farm.
The original owner of the stables, Harry, had a particular sense of humour. He named the two horses kept here, Tom and Dick. This obviously led to him becoming the talk of the town!
After being lovingly converted in 2005, I'm afraid that these days there's no hay in sight.
You enter through an old fashioned 'boot room', with utility facilities and a downstairs bathroom. This opens out into a large country kitchen with a dining area. Straight ahead is your private patio, and to the right you can walk straight through to the separate living area. Fitted with a sofa bed, as well as an additional sofa, the old oak beams and old stable features transport you back in time.
Moving upstairs into the bedroom, you should know that we can make it up as two Single beds or as one Super King. There is also an ensuite for your comfort. Most importantly, you can lie in bed and look across the countryside to the River Severn.
(TIP: For an even better view in the morning make sure to convince your holiday partner to cook you breakfast and bring it to you in bed!)
Depending on the time of year and the crops in the fields, you may be able to take a stroll across our fields on the Farm.
Please ask and we can tell you which fields are accessible during your stay.
As much interaction or as little as you'd like!
We can leave the key out and leave you to your own devices if thats what you prefer, but...
We have a working dairy herd here at Daniels Farm. We have a fully robotic milk parlour and our cows are currently rated the best genetic pedigree Holsteins in the country, so we'd love to show you around if it's something that interest's you.
The farmer's wife, Yvonne, has a side business called 'Icing on the Cake'. It also runs from our Farm house, so if a celebration cake will make your stay more memorable, we are more than willing to make that happen!
The family has lived on this property for four generations, we have an abundance of knowledge of the surrounds so of course will answer all of your questions should you have any.
The house is one mile from the village of Blakeney, where there's a local shop, post office, and an award-winning fish-and-chip shop. The nearby town of Newnham has a quaint and colourful high street with a shop (including Post Office & Café) hairdresser, gift shop and two pubs, one with an Indian restaurant.
We have an off road car parking space for you. Also, the number 23 bus does run every hour from the end of the lane. (Approx 5 minute walk away).
