The top peak in the Brecon Beacons. A must for every visitor that wants to experience the mountain with this rewarding walk. The link is for a circular walk that cover also Corn Ddu, the second peak. Easy to start from the Barn around the lake and up, or drive to Llangasty village hall for a short and sharp walk to the top.
There is also a starting point from a layby on the A40 between Bwlch and Talybont-on-Usk.

You can also drive to the bottom of it Cockit hill; 10 minutes along a narrow country road and some parking available. From there you can walk the last stretch (20 -30 minutes) which is quite steep but you'll be rewarded with fantastic views of the lake and the Beacons in front of it. From Cockit Hill you can also takle Myndd Troeed, a distinctive hill of the Black Mountains towering Llangorse.
