I recommend walking the Brecon Canal. You can walk from the property, through Brecon Town to the Canal Basin. It is a grade 1 walk and perfect for a leisurely and peaceful walk that provides both heritage and wildlife along the way. One of my favourite walks is the Canal Basin to Brynich Lock. There and back takes up to 2 hours. There are places to sit along the way, you can watch the canal boats gently tug by, learn about the canal when it was at its industrial peak (from information panels) and enjoy the lush green trees, birds singing, the farm life and ducks with their brood of ducklings swimming along the canal. If you wanted to make it a day of walking the canal, you will find pubs along the way where you can stop and have a bite to eat and something to drink. The canal is also a great place to cycle, and again, you will find pubs along the way to rest and have something to eat and drink.
