Sedona is a can't miss destination 30 minutes from Munds Park, AZ. Honestly, there isn't a more beautiful place on earth than Sedona's red rocks and formations. Sedona is a great place for a hike, fine dining and/or upscale shopping experience for the day "Southwest style". You will see southwest architecture and designs everywhere.
Best time to visit is during the weekdays (not weekends)! Why? ..... because of "overcrowding" and hour long traffic jams in and out of the city.
I hear the pink jeep tours in Sedona are great!

If your a wine lover ......Page Springs is my #1 recommendation ....but Oak Creek is nearby and my #2 recommendation in case Page Springs is too busy or you want to go to several wineries.
You can't go wrong if your having wine with friends and both wineries are close to Jerome and Sedona after a day of sightseeing.
Careful ....N Page Springs Road is "VERY, VERY" curvy and winding so don't Drink too much wine and Drive!!! Instead, buy some wine and take it back to our Cabin's porch in Munds Park where you can enjoy all the wine you want!!!
