Saltburn is a Victorian seaside town with a short pier and a brilliant Funicular Cliff Lift - although this is not open during the Winter so please Google it if you would like to go on it.

Whitby is a lovely traditional seaside town famous for many things including where Captain Cook set off in his ship Endeavour when he 'found' Australia, there is a replica ship the Bark Endeavour that is moored in the harbour as a visitor attraction. There are many great Fish and Chip restaurants and take-aways.
