  • Forest Therapy Walk
The experience, also known as 'Forest Bathing', begins at a designated trailhead where we'll lightly introduce ourselves to each other and begin noticing the land. As we enter the forest, a prompt is given to begin to arrive and settle into the experience some more. A brief introduction to forest therapy, how it works and the health benefits of time spent in nature is given next. Information about the area and a land acknowledgement is included. Participants have the opportunity to introduce themselves more in depth in a first sharing circle before beginning to deepen and nurture nature connections. Throughout the event, several invitations are given that make room for sensory experiences, play, discovery, relaxation, listening, exploring, presence and stillness. These invitations are unique to the participants, time of day and what the forest offers and reveals during the time of the walk. The forest therapy walk ends with a tea ceremony, creating opportunities to enjoy local, sustainably foraged tea plants in circle with self, others and the land. Other things to note - This experience is child and dog friendly, please inform me to be able to adapt - If you have any allergies or mobility issues, please let me know - During the pandemic there are no portable toilets. Using the ‘facili-trees’ will be the only way to 'go'. I carry toilet paper and hand sanitizer with me

  • Barney out of the Barn
For the morning booking: Guests will get to start in the poultry coop where they will be able to interact with the ducks and chickens, and perhaps collect their eggs. They will learn about feed and the mix of different species and their needs. They will open the door and watch the ducks waddle to the pond (seasonally). From there they will enter the paddock where they can interact with the donkeys and the horses and learn each of their stories. Guests will be informed about rescue animals and natural alternate methods of care. The guests will be taught how to clear their thinking in order to allow the animals to do the same and be rewarded by the therapeutic energy of the equine. For the afternoon booking: The poultry will already be free range but the guests will be able to sit by the pond (seasonally) and feed the ducks as well as have the chickens come to them for feed. Other things to note This is a hands on experience with animals. Guests are asked to be calm and allow the animals to come to them. Children must be supervised at all times. One on one (adult to child) is required. There is a good possibility you will get dirty. Hand washing will be available.

  • Donkey experience
Welcome to our Donkey experience. When you first arrive at our farm, we will go over a few safety rules we have in place to make your experience a safe and enjoyable one. Donkeys can be given treats over the fence and once this is done we will enter the paddock where you will be able to interact with them and brush and take photos. We are also available to answer any questions you might have. We will spend some time with the donkeys and then we will visit with the pot belly pigs and our very friendly goats. Treats will also be available to feed to them. Once again you are welcome to take photos. If the alpacas and miniature horses are near by you are welcome to visit them along with feeding treats. We also have a chicken coop where children can look for eggs and collect them. ( Yes you can keep the eggs). We also have a small herd of sheep. Betsy is one of our ewes and she always love when people visit and will never say no to a treat or 2 or 3. . You just never know what surprise you might find on out farm that day!

  • Healing with Horses
Healing with horses can take many forms and is as unique as each individual who experiences this process. Since this is done in the moment experientially the knowledge gained is not just mentally understood but fully integrated into the person. We use the combined wisdom and intuition of the facilitator and their equine partner to guide you through your experience. Because of their size, gentle natures and ability to connect we have come to realize that they can teach us to communicate better, create safe and respectful boundaries, and be better leaders. In this experience of self awareness and an exploration of your authentic self you will gain a better understanding of your mind/body connection. You will choose your horse for the experience and start with a time of reflective grooming while building a relationship with your horse. You will engage in an activity of mindfulness with the focus on the emotions of you and your horse. With non-verbal communication you will discover your leadership strengths and your ability to set comfortable boundaries. With their mere presence horses can heal us, make whole that which was fragmented and restore that which was lost...
