Learn what it takes to be a Pizzaiolo
We're back! It was a long two years. All that's needed now is your hands, your passion, and a little guidance from us and you'll be making and eating exceptional pizza. First we'll make some dough and...and eat a little pizza. I'll teach you about the importance of time and temperature, about different yeasts and how to make biga or poolish (and even what those words are and why you will want to care). Once the dough is out of the spiral mixer we'll practice shaping it into balls. Oh... it's recess... gotta eat some pizza. Next we'll practice what is probably the hardest yet funnest part of all.... opening up a Neapolitan pizza ball. You'll learn to massage the dough, so the air moves outward toward the edge - otherwise known as the cornicione. Now, take a moment , have some pizza. You deserve it. Then you'll learn to dress the pizza and then then place it into the wood-fired oven. There's no turning back now. In 90 seconds your pizza will be finished. We'll practice this over and over using the same techniques I learned from a world champion. This will be the best class ever because you get to eat your homework!
Learn how to cook & throw the Ultimate Dumpling Dinner Party
Join a hands-on cooking class and dinner party, where you'll learn how to make mouthwatering dumplings from scratch! You'll discover the secrets of how to create bouncy, delicious homemade dumpling wrappers, build flavorful sauces, and master a variety of folding techniques.
It's perfect for a unique date night, family cooking activity, or team building event, and small groups ensure hands-on instruction.
We'll start with a blind tasting of my favorite soy sauces to deep dive into umami. Next, a demo of braised pork belly: a classic Shanghai dish that will combine principles of slow cooking, balanced flavors with local, organic pork. (Not incl. w/10:30a brunch)
Then we'll make dumplings from scratch: kneading dough, rolling out dumpling skins, and learning the art of pleating dumplings around a mouthwatering pork stuffing.
Once you've created your own batch of delicious dumplings, it'll be time to create your own secret sauce you'll make yourself with flavor fundamentals. We'll eat the slow-cooked pork belly braise, and finish with a red bean dessert - you'll be in a food coma at the end of the experience! Recipe guides will be provided after dinner.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking to try something new, this dumpling dinner party is a must-try experience in San Francisco.
(For non-pork eaters, tofu option is available on request w/48h notice)
Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session.
Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest.
Other things to note
Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.

San Francisco Bay Sailing Awesomeness
Get a taste for what an awesome experience living, working and voyaging on a sailboat can be, while viewing fantastic landmarks from the uncrowded deck, using sustainable and eco friendly wind power. Perhaps choose an evening sail, and enjoy a wonderful sunset. We will be outside only, with plenty of space, breathing clean Pacific air!
Get a little salty while we sail and chat about what it's like going far from land and crossing oceans, from endless waves and wind, to calm nights under starry skies. Get a feel for what it's like to live and thrive in a constantly moving small space, in a beautiful but unforgiving environment.
Hear what it's like to battle Tuna and Sailfish while under sail, and have the freshest sushi minutes later. And to anchor in tropical anchorages, bathe in the sea, and surf uncrowded waves right from the boat.
Ask as little or as much as you like about surviving storms, living in foreign countries, meeting great cruising friends, and unplugging from normal living to find another path. Perhaps, ask how you can get started yourself.
Spend time aboard a beautiful, ocean-going yacht that has provided a safe and peaceful haven for her crew over the span of two decades in a green, earth friendly fashion.
Sausalito's Headlands & The Golden Gate
Join a local guide for a scenic and insightful walk on San Francisco Bay. Enjoy the beauty of the coastal parklands just outside Sausalito in the Marin Headlands. We meet at the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce next to the ferry landing and shuttle to Fort Baker to enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, San Francisco, Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay in the headlands above Horseshoe Cove. We make a gradual ascent on a car-free path to a sensational overlook at Battery Spencer high above the bridge to enjoy commanding views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the wide expanse of the Pacific Ocean. After exploring the overlook, we head back to bridge level, where you can choose to walk on-your-own across the Golden Gate Bridge (45 minutes, 1.7 miles) back to San Francisco or continue on to Fort Baker. If you choose not to walk the bridge, we conclude our walk back in Sausalito.
Note: If the walk is not on the calendar for the date you want or fully booked, please contact me and we might be able to accommodate you. This walk is also ideal for corporate team building outings!
Please note: If you prefer to drive to Sausalito, I will meet you at the entrance to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Fort Baker. Plenty of free parking available in a large outdoor lot at the museum.

Early Morning Golden Gate Bridge Walking Tour
Early morning is the best time to visit the Golden Gate Bridge! Without lots of people around, there is less noise (although a bit more cold) and a chance to see more of the bridge's amazing structure and views. If we're lucky, Goldie might also be playing her foghorns- ok then, it may not be so quiet!
Our 90 min walking tour of the Golden Gate Bridge will start with it's history over the past 85 years sharing stories and historic photos as well as a walk around and under the bridge. We'll also have some great stops to take some amazing photos!
We'll meet at the flagpole near the Roundhouse Cafe, and tour the areas on both the west and east side of the plaza.
If there is time, I will share with you my neighborhood called Pilot's row, which is across the street!
p.s. This is a new tour, thus there are not yet any reviews. But check out my Experience "Half Day Walking Tour of the Presidio"of SF for feedback on me! :-)
