They’ll wait for us to open their gate, and then these loving animals will show us the way. We’ll follow the herd at an easy pace into desert washes and onto boulders, where we’ll find beautiful spots to sit and chat—or simply gaze into the silence of the landscape, the gaping sky, and the goats enjoying themselves. We’ll walk about three miles and return with the goats after the sunset. Guests will be transported from a centrally-located site in San Diego county to the international border in San Ysidro. With a Permit application already completed by host from information provided by guests, crossing the border will be cut from a potential 1 hour to about 10 minutes. Along with a brief historical account and cultural explanation, the experience will include a visit to the Friendship Park, a stroll through historic Revolucion street, as well as a the visit to several iconic areas of the city which will lead to a better understanding of its development. Visitors will also explore a colorful local market, where they will interact with local vendors, learn about, and have the opportunity to sample indigenous foods. The tour will conclude with a visit to a local food court where guests will have the opportunity to savor Tijuana's fusion cuisine, also known as Baja-Med. Finally, they will be driven to the international border, picked up and taken back to the original meeting location in San Diego. The host will escort guests the entire time. You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained birds using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. There will be plenty of time for questions and pictures with our birds. My hope is to send you home with a new, or perhaps renewed, love for these majestic predators and the environment. Tap into your wild side as you spend time with wolfdogs and learn the powerful lessons they have to teach in this intimate group experience! Beginning with a visit to our wolfdog compound, you'll meet the 30-plus rescues, hear their backstories, and meet some of the pack to interact one-on-one. You might even get a kiss (or two or three)! You’ll also get to walk alongside them during a light hike through the Angeles National Forest, where you’ll become one of the pack and further solidify your bond with the animals. Our desert journey will begin with a Llama greet and treat at the ranch. Our fabulous llama quartet will gather around to say hello. At first you will be astounded at their size and strangeness, but as I have seen time and time again, your reservations begin to melt away and our beautiful and majestic llamas will charm you with their gregariousness, and curiosity. One of our Llama's will be harnessed and ready to go on our 2 mile desert walk, this usually takes anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes long. The rest the time we will Back in the corral with all four llamas and the two goats for you to have some more together time back in the corral with all four llamas and the two goats. Vast open views of our scenic desert include Joshua Tree mountain range, Johnson Valley, and the ancient Black Mesa. As you walk with Llama, you will be amazed at the variety of plants and creatures you will see. From the prehistoric Creosote, and the majestic Joshua Trees, cuddly teddy bear cactus, to the miner's lettuce, Yucca fruit and other seasonal edible desert plants, our Master gardener desert docent, and Lllama extraordinaire will unlock the ancient mysteries of the desert for you. Cat is international award-winning variety performer Vixen DeVille with 15 years experience in Fire Eating and Flame Manipulation. At the newly renovated Theatre 68 Arts Complex she will take you through the theory and safety precautions behind fire eating and body burning. We'll then actually light up the torches and explore this performance art fully with hand transfers, tongue transfers and of course, extinguishing the flame with your mouth. This is NOT an illusion! By the end of the session you'll be fire eating and body burning like a pro. Other things to note: Wear close-fitting clothes, sleeveless is ideal and either leggings or shorts. Flat shoes, no heels. Avoid wearing lipstick or body moisturizer & avoid use of hairspray. Long hair should be tied back. Take a tandem Hang Glider flight with an accredited instructor over Southern California. I'll handle the takeoff and landing, and you'll get to enjoy the amazing experience of soaring in a hang glider on a 15- to 45-minute flight. I’ll point out landmarks from above and explain how to maneuver the glider. If you’re up for it—and conditions allow—you may even get to take the controls for a bit. We will take a hawk for a walk thru a local vineyard. Our trained hawk will fly from your gloved hand to fly free over the vineyard and come back to you again. We will spend at least an hour interacting with the birds. You will meet a falcon, “Jack” the eagle owl (who you will fall in love with) and a Harris hawk that we will free fly in the vineyard. Afterwards we will go wine tasting the wine from the vineyard you were in. The winemaker “Larry” is a fun person to talk to as he will explain how he makes his wine and help you to enjoy his naturally grown grapes that make his wine unique. Joshua tree is a powerful vortex of energy, that cannot be fully experienced unless you tap in to your power of meditation. This 2-hour experience allows each guest to pick from a variety of pre-made pots. Horsehair "Raku" during the experience uses a technique of applying horsehair, feathers, and/or sawdust to red hot pots. The carbon in these items transfer suddenly to the pot and are permanent. This method is eye-popping and amazing. Any age can do it. I recommend children be at least 10 and able to be respectful to other guests. I am sometimes a little corny, but very capable of sharing the How-To's, mixed with some history and other uses of clay. I am very good at coaching, and helping guest achieve a decorated raku pot that they are excited to take home. This is the kind of experience that will be fondly remembered for a lifetime.

La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. We will meet in North Pacific Beach in the morning or afternoon to talk about the surf conditions. Then we will walk down to the beach together. Next I will give a land lesson on the basics of surfing, we will practice different pop-up techniques so you're more comfortable in the water. Then we will go out into the water and I will help you get some waves and start surfing! Afterwards we'll carry the boards back to where we started. Other things to note Bring your own towel, water, swimsuit, and sunscreen! I will provide surfboards, wetsuits. We're hosting a "safari style" tour of the beautiful wine country in Temecula Valley! Stunning vineyards, and boutique wineries are nestled into the hills of Temecula - and we want to take you to our favorites! We offer an open-air, safari Jeep experience to some of the coolest wineries in Temecula. You'll hop into our Jeep Gladiator, equipped with safari doors, a sound bar (for pumping your favorite tunes), and a roof rack for storing all your glamorous gear. We'll also have YETI coolers filled with extra hydration in case you get thirsty. Then we're off to explore! A full 3 hours of backroads, wine trails, and fantastic wineries. On our safari, we make 3 stops, and visit a selection of top-rated (yet surprisingly uncommon) wineries. You'll get to sample award-winning wines, and enjoy the incredible views that Temecula offers. During our tour, we’ll have a mini-photoshoot in one of the beautiful, Temecula Valley vineyards. Finally, we'll drop you off - along with a complementary bottle of one of our favorite local wines. Wear your sexiest khakis, and bring some sunscreen - it's going to be a wild ride! A Southern California safari at it's best.

This is a small group 2.5+ hour bike tour of 3 architecturally/historically significant neighborhoods in South Palm Springs, lead by either myself or my expert assistant guide, Tim. You'll be biking on quiet streets, no hills, constant sunshine, & very little traffic. All of which makes for a great ride for novices or expert cyclists alike. We’ll explore the neighborhoods of Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, & Indian Canyons. We’ll see great examples of homes designed by Krisel, Wexler, Eichler, & built by the Alexander Construction Company. We'll also see the homes of some Hollywood celebrities. We’ll stop at specific homes to discuss their architectural & historical details, but you're encouraged to stop anywhere along the way to take photos. So, duration can vary, but it's usually about 2.5 hours. Please arrive a little early--we can wait 10 min for late guests.
