Tip-Based Asheville Walking Tour
Pay what you want in the end! We will start downtown in Pack Square to learn about the history, architecture, and some of the local legends surrounding Asheville! During our tour, we will be sure to cover all major landmarks like the Basilica of St Lawrence, and the Grove Park Arcade, but we will also go off the beaten path to explore the Block, the YMI, Woolworth Walk's old-timey soda fountain, and Wall St's catwalk! During the trip, I will be providing insider tips on the best places to eat, drink and play for the best prices, including the places where locals hang out for free! We will discuss hidden gems that many people walk by daily without ever noticing an eagle overhead, the faces engraved on the wall, or secret mice! We will dive deeper into Asheville's "buy local" culture and what that means for companies who get listed as "sell-outs." Also, we will discuss stories of sabotage, controversy, and little-known success stories of previous residents! We will also check out a cool museum called Leaf Global and taste local spirits from a distillery and ice cream from the Hop! At the end, my guest will get discount beer tickets to taste some local brews from one of Asheville's finest, local breweries called Twin Leaf. Other thing If you are unable to make your reservation, please let me know so I can plan accordingly!
Canoe the river to local craft breweries
Recipe for a perfect day: Floating down an ancient river, cooling your toes in the water, laughing with good friends... all within reach of award-winning breweries serving up fresh craft beverages and tasty treats. We start by meeting near Asheville's River Arts District, where your canoeing gear and friendly guide await. Canoe on a navigable but adventurous section of the French Broad River, where one of the oldest rivers on the planet passes by some of the best spots in "Beer City USA." We'll paddle up to a variety of Asheville's best breweries, eateries, funky riverside bars, and wading pools. Each trip will vary based on the weather, what is open, and what the folks in your group enjoy most. Most trips include 2 breweries, a couple of eating options, and depending on the day, a bonus brewery or winery. Non-drinkers will have plenty of sight-seeing options nearby as well. Depending on the time of year, we may see otters, beavers, herons, friendly ducks, and colorful fish. Other things to note You will enjoy this the most if you are comfortable with being on a river and are able to swim. Rapids are very mild (Class I at most). No pets or children allowed.
Forging at Quiver Full Farm
Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. Other things to note This experience is for adults and children over the age of 14. If you have sensitivities to smoke and heat this may not be the experience for you.
Asheville barhop by SUP or Kayak
We will be exploring a couple of the best breweries of Asheville by SUP and kayak! 21&up. Get your friends together for a river caravan down the French Broad! This river is flat and wide, an easy beginner run, winding through the river arts district. Our guides will help you learn to kayak or SUP if you are new to it. It is a scenic and fun way to get to the breweries. Great for groups, solo travelers or couples, because you make friends with your crew throughout the afternoon. We have dry bags for personal items, dress to get wet and still be able to walk a block or two. Amazing waterfall hike & swim
The experience I would like to share with you will start with a 30 minute drive east of AVL. We will arrive at the trailhead around 9:30 am & begin our adventure on an easy uphill 1.25 mile trail. Along this path I will share with you the history of the area and discuss various plants & animals we may see as we venture along. At the end of this trail you will enjoy a lovely waterfall that will be full of people. From this point on the real adventure will begin! Beyond this waterfall is a secret second amazing waterfall that few people know about. The next 3/4 mile journey is difficult and involves climbing up a steep rocky wall & other rocky areas. We will go slowly & carefully, but you will need to be in decent shape & have proper footwear to make it. You will be holding onto rocks, roots, & branches as we go, but I will guide you along and I am confident you will be able to make the journey! Your reward will be an amazing peaceful waterfall with a great refreshing swimming hole! Yes the water is cold! There will most likely be no other people at this waterfall so we will have it for ourselves. After spending time swimming and having some snacks we will return to the trailhead. But our adventure does not have to end here! We can enjoy lunch at a great local brewery before departing from our wonderful experience! We usually arrive back in AVL around 2:30 pm.

Sound Healing Relaxation in the Sound Nest
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or desiring to relax, be supported, & experience meditative sounds? Arrive at the Sound Nest in Alexander, in the rolling hills just outside Asheville, leaving the outside world behind beginning with a cup of soothing tea. Slip off your shoes entering a comforting & nurturing room filled with special instruments to soothe your cares & nervous system. Dawn walks participants through what to expect in a tranquil & reassuring way. The bespoke sound healing journey can be tailored to support your life experience. Grounding gongs, timeless & soaring singing bowls, refreshing chimes, a relaxing ocean drum, amongst other instruments help us to re-imagine life & bring fresh air to the intensity that life naturally brings. Why sound healing? These instruments and the way Dawn plays them allows the mind to relax so your body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system & rest, digest, and heal itself. Dawn welcomes groups up to 7 with space to lay down, more are welcome if seated upright. Private group or individual sessions are happily arranged in addition to the times shown here, please contact Dawn. We can also host sessions instructing how to play the instruments if booked specifically for that goal. Photo-shoot Asheville
A private, professional photo-shoot of yourself and your loved ones (including your furry loved ones!) if you desire. We will chat/communicate prior to the shoot so that you can feel confident and look your best for shoot. We will then spend approximately one hour dedicated to capturing great shots of you in various locations. We will not have to walk far in order to get a great selection. Dependent on your availability and my schedule, we could arrange a more rural shoot with wild-flowers and/or mountains as the back-drop, for an extra fee. See some of the attached pictures for variety. You can also check out Natasha Dale Photography's website to see more gallery portraits. I will provide you with digital photographs via a password-protected file-sharing service. You will have a minimum of 10 professionally edited shots and typically receive these within one week of the shoot. You are free to share with as many people as you like. N.B. I will always retain the rights and ownership to the photos. There are a couple of more rural settings in the downtown Asheville that would not incur extra costs. Bring along a face mask for when we first meet. Also, I recommend a comb/hair-brush, hair grips (if you use them), translucent powder or blotting tissues to reduce shine.
Educational Waterfall and Forest Hike--Perfect for Families
You will experience a personalized guided hike with a career educator to a beautiful waterfall with the option to wade and swim. Lunch is provided at no extra charge. Fishing poles and tackle are available if you want to try your luck with the local trout and sunfish. Along the hike you'll learn local natural history and ecology from a long-time local with extensive educational and environmental experience. You may spot wildlife or tracks, enjoy edible native plants, identify mushrooms, or experience other one-of-a-kind surprises! You'll meet at 9:30 AM to caravan in your vehicle to the trailhead. The hike to the waterfall is 1 mile long and takes about an hour. We will eat lunch at the waterfall destination and enjoy relaxed rock-hopping, swimming, and exploring. We'll then return to our vehicles after lunch.
