See DC with us on this professionally guided 3-hour tour of the National Mall. We tour in small groups which gives you a more personal experience and allows you to cover all of the major DC sites in just 3 hours. This tour is a combination of driving and walking. We start at the Washington Grand Hyatt. Meet your TOUR Guide in front of Starbucks, hop in the van, and head over to the National Mall. See the Sites by Segway
You'll arrive 15 minutes to tour time to check-in and be fitted on your Segway. Segways are perfect for city riding and have a handle bar bag and rack so you can store all the essentials - phone, keys, wallet. I also provide a water bottle for the ride.
After getting set up, you'll meet the rest of your group and go through a 30 min training session to get comfortable before heading out.
Your tour will cover about 5-6 miles in 2 hours, making stops at all of the major monuments and memorials on the National Mall from the Capitol Building to The Lincoln Memorial and around the different Smithsonian Museums. At each stop, you'll hear some history, and unique facts, and perhaps a dark secret or two.
Our tour route will end back at the shop.

You'll start by exploring the street art and murals of the NoMa neighborhood. You'll discover new and old pieces and learn more about the artists and art scene in DC. Afterwards we'll venture to the vibrant Union Market District for more murals. You'll see more than 20 murals! We end the tour at Union Market, a vibrant food hall with plenty of outdoor space for food, drink, and people watching.
Be prepared to walk in any weather. Bring comfortable shoes and possibly sunscreen, a raincoat, or an umbrella. And don't forget your camera!

Morning Photo Session in Washington DC
Treat yourself to great pictures as a souvenir while experiencing DC landmarks.
The photo session starts at the Lincoln Memorial which has great views of the Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument.
Then we have the option of taking a 10 minute walk to take more photos at either a beautiful park or at another Memorial on the National Mall.
** Sessions booked between March 20 and April 1, will start at the MLK Memorial/Tidal Basin area to capture photos with cherry blossoms. **
This photo session can be adapted for engagements, elopements, families, graduating seniors, maternity, surprise proposals and business headshots.
In a non-private session, another person may book and join you. We will walk together as a group and rotate between who is taking pictures. Select the private option if you do not wish to share your session with another person.

Fun and Interactive Guided National Mall Tour with a Local
Experience this 2.5 hour guided walking tour of the National Mall. You will get to experience the nation's capital through the practiced poetic gaze of a local. First, we'll meet on the corner of 15th St NW & Constitution avenue. Bring something to drink and some comefortable shoes. We will begin our walk to the first stop on the tour, The Washington Monument or as I like to call it, The Eiffel Tower of DC. Then, we will proceed to the World War II Veteran's Memorial where an amazing little secret lies. Before we head to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, we will make a bathroom stop for all those who might need it. Then, we will continue on to the Lincoln Memorial (a personal favorite) and finally end our tour with the Korean War Verterans Memorial.
Throughout this tour, guests will be encouraged to participate. I will pose a few DC-specific trivia questions that will keep you engaged and whose answers will come into as the tour progresses and your knowlegde of DC grows.
Be prepared to learn well kept secrets and interesting facts, little known even to most DC locals. Guaranteed to leave you feeling in awe of our resilience as a nation. You are in for a treat.

Washington DC After Dark Bike Tour
This evening bike tour takes you to the National Mall and Potomac Tidal Basin when the monuments are less crowded, the air is cooler, and the views are magnificent. You'll arrive 15 minutes to tour time to check-in and be fitted on your bike. Our hybrid bikes are perfect for city riding and we have a variety of sizes to fit you - no matter how tall or small. Our bikes have a handle bar bag and rack so you can store all the essentials - phone, keys, wallet.
We'll head out to the first stop, where we'll stop and your guide will share some history, and unique facts, and perhaps a dark secret or two.
Your tour will cover about 5 miles in three hours, making stops at all of the major monuments and memorials on the National Mall and around the Tidal Basin. At each stop, you'll hear from your guide before being given a few minutes to explore on your own and snap a photo or two. Don't worry! Your guide will stick close to the bikes, giving you the freedom to wander a bit.
Our tour route will end back at our shop, where our staff can help direct you to your next activity. Or you can, choose to keep your bike and keep exploring on your own (additional cost).

Washington DC's Underground Donut Tour
Join us for a Donut adventure through our nations capital, Washington DC. Our tour begins near Lafayette Square, where we’ll see a restaurant favored by a former President before passing by the White House itself for a perfect photo op. After soaking in some history at Lafayette Square, we’ll head deeper into DC to try some local fan favorite donuts from fan favorite local celebrities. From there, we’ll head down Palmers Alley, the most "grammable" spot in DC, where we’ll get to try donuts with an international flavor. Then, after a quick jaunt through Chinatown (where we’ll learn some surprising Civil War-era history) we’ll try some truly unique, freshly made, and delicious donuts. Forge a Knife from a Horseshoe in Northern Virginia
The average person never gets the opportunity to try their hand at blacksmithing. But you're not the average person.
Beginning with a horseshoe, you'll use a hammer, anvil, and fire to forge your very own, handmade knife. You'll walk out with an excellent cheese knife, box cutter, herb chopper, or letter opener. Oh, and you can brag about it, too.

-No lifting required (aside from a hammer) and little strength necessary, though hand-eye coordination always helps
The curriculum is designed to be tons of fun and to flow seamlessly:
1) You'll begin the class by putting on safety gear and reviewing safety procedures.

Make a Celebration Ring
We will begin with a peek in the Gallery, featuring jewelry handcrafted by US artisans, and a tour of our Studio School. I will also share some history of our 1890 Victorian-era building. In the workshop, you will use steel letter stamps and a hammer to impress words of your choice onto sterling silver strips. Then, you will form the strip into a circle and solder it together (with help). Finally, oxidize (blacken) the ring, and polish to your desired finish. We limit the workshop to four students to guarantee lots of personal instruction, as well as the opportunity to get to know your classmates.

Unfortunately, our Victorian-era building is not fully accessible to the handicapped.
Alexandria's history, from prehistoric times to Lincoln
This tour delves into the history of the location that later became known as Alexandria, covering the period from the earliest human settlements to just after the Civil War. What distinguishes this tour is its focus on the underlying historical factors that shaped the city. By the end of the tour, participants will have a profound understanding of the various structural conditions - such as geography, hydrology, administration, and commerce - that played a crucial role in transforming Alexandria into the city it became by the mid-19th century.

Hidden Union Station
Join Atlas Obscura in partnership with Union Station Redevelopment Corporation for a behind-the-scenes tour of Washington Union Station, where you will learn the secrets of Daniel Burnham's 1907 architectural masterpiece! The opening of DC's opulent Union Station energized the city and forever changed how Washingtonians traveled. More than a century later, the station still buzzes with travelers, trains, and history.
On this approximately one and a half hour tour, we will explore spaces that the 37 million passengers, tourists, and shoppers who pass through Union Station rarely get to see. You will climb steps and open doors into areas where the public is not normally granted access, be shown unique vantage points to view and photograph the station, gain up-close looks at the magnificent details and ornamentation of the station, as well as learn what is being done today to preserve Union Station for years to come. As you explore the mansion, which is steeped in history and intrigue, you'll be walking in the footsteps of presidents, freedom fighters, G-Men, historians, famous musicians, and fiction writers. Built 125 years ago, nearly every President since Teddy Roosevelt has visited.
