Mingo Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Open to the public, no cost.
Located in Cherokee. You don’t have to hike to see this waterfall, however, you do have to climb many stairs. It’s beautiful and there is always a chance of seeing elk on the way there.
Mingo Falls Trail is a 0.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Cherokee, North Carolina that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and nature trips and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
