The Basel Paper Mill (in German Basler Papiermühle), or Swiss Museum of Paper, Writing and Printing (in German Schweizerisches Museum für Papier, Schrift und Druck), is mainly dedicated to papermaking, printing and writing in general.

"Basel Papiermühle", the paper mill, a very good restaurant. Especially on Sunday morning from 10am-1pm you can have a very good and generous brunch, with bread, butter, eggs, bacon, coffe, orange juice, home made fruit jams, cakes, fruit salad, for just 28.- CHF, I love it.

Great museum exploring the history of paper and print that lets you get involved. It's also located on the river in a wonderful old building and enchanting part of the old town which are worth the trip all on their own. It's one of the less obvious choices so it's not usually as busy and more of an insider tip.

Nice place to know about paper history and to enjoy creating yr own paper! Apart from the artefacts on display, the most enjoyable part is the hands-on activities that you can do - especially you can create your own sheet of paper and take it as a souvenir!! kids love it (and also adults). The museum is located in a beautiful neighbourhood by the Rhine
