Inside the Parc Naturel des Alpilles, a lovely walk for some freshness and a climb to the Chimney for an unforgettable view of St Rémy.. To find the entrance of the Chimney you will need to walk on the right side of the lake, while facing north. Somewhere up on the end of the path you should be able to spot a path going up, and walk slightly towards north, it is only a few minutes away from the lake. If you have vertigo, it might not be for you, however it is safe once on the top...

Le Lac de Saint-Remy-de-Provence, appelé également le lac du Peirou, est un lac artificiel situé dans les Alpilles, entouré de falaises, avec un volume d'environ 80 000 m3. Le barrage de Peirou sert principalement à alimenter en eau les fontaines du village et l'irrigation des quartiers sud. Le lac constitue également une attraction touristique au village, avec son cadre pittoresque et la richesse des Alpilles. C'est aussi un lieu rêvé pour les pêcheurs, abritant de nombreux espèces de poissons. un lieu à découvrir !
