This isnāt your bubbeās shabbat dinner. The upscale Jewish restaurant by chef TomĆ”s Kalika recreates Israeli, Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Middle Eastern dishes using modern techniques and fresh ingredients.
Mishiguene, which means crazy in Yiddish, honours Argentinaās Jewish immigrant heritage by reinventing Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Israeli and Middle Eastern cooking. Here, nouvelle techniques are applied to old world recipes, using the highest-quality ingredients possible. Chef TomĆ”s Kalika spent years learning Middle Eastern flavour profiles and many of Mishigueneās dishes were inspired by personal events in Kalikaās life, including a Russian-Polish borscht and spit-roasted Moroccan lamb. Every Friday night Mishiguene celebrates Shabbat, and the entire restaurant breaks out in song and dance, led by a klezmer band that plays live music. For the ultimate experience, request the special tasting menu and sit at the chefās table inside the kitchen. During the pandemic, Mishiguene upped the tempo further, providing a delivery service and an outdoor terrace for its guests, and in September 2021, the new CafĆ© Mishiguene joined its ranks.

This is a very unique restaurant with amazing food. They do change the menu routinely, but the shakshouka, baba ganoush, goulash, and cigar (fish dish) are AMAZING! Actually all the dishes are amazing. If you are coming to Buenos Aires and you are looking for a unique dining experience this is the place.
