Go White Water Rafting- Tubing is in Townsend (close by) but white water rafting requires you drive 1 hour to Hartford, TN which has a different river. The same companies that provide tubing also provide white water rafting.

Whitewater raft the Pigeon River about 25 minutes away! It's awesome, tons of other rafting companies right there too if River Rat is booked up. As a Whitewater rafter and Kayaker, I love being a short drive to multiple Whitewater rivers and creeks in the area.
