When you walk into this shrine, the sheer number of fox statues—close to a thousand, I think—will overwhelm you. It’s actually a little scary when it gets darker. The Buddhist—originally Hindu—deity Dakiniten is said to grant wealth and commercial success, so come pray here if that interests you. Several traditional stalls are set up just outside the main grounds. The inari sushi that the old ladies dish out there is superb! It’s a nice, relaxing, hidden-away spot in the middle of the big city.
