In 2016, Alisha Utter and Kyle Bowley put down roots in Grand Isle and started Arbor Farmstead. Their business plan included a farm market when the right space became available. Since then, they have vended produce/herbs/flowers, fruit snow cones, and wooden-wares at the Champlain Islands Farmers’ Market and Burlington Farmers’ Market each year. In light of the pandemic in 2020, Alisha and Kyle launched a produce delivery service, along with Vermont’s first veganic CSA program. They also opened an on-site farm stand in Grand Isle. On Arbor Day 2021, they opened Arbor Farm Market in a historic building in the village of South Hero.
