Fingle Bridge is a great place to start a walk along the Teign Valley. The pub does standard food, but you can also take a picnic and sit in the meadow on the opposite river bank where there is an easy beach for paddling just by the bridge.
A stunning walk from Clifford Bridge with the added benefit of a pub at Fingle Bridge for a pint of cider of a lovely lunch. Our favourite wild swim spot is on the way back to Clifford just before you reach the end!
Fingle Bridge ticks a lot of boxes - rain or shine it's great for families, dog walkers, hikers and beer drinkers. Fingle Bridge sits in the centre of a large wooded valley split by a river. It is a great place for a short stroll, a quick drink at the pub on the river, or a longer trek (we recommend the two-hour loop to Castle Drogo).
Walk through the woods by the banks of the River Teign. Good pub food. Parking. Dog friendly.
