An old fishing quay where Christchurch harbour and the River Stour meets the sea. The Quay has an old pub called “The Haven House Inn” which is a nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by and the yachts coming into the harbour and the kids or even bigger kids ‘crabbing’! If you walk from the quay and follow the sea wall for about 5 minutes you will get to Avon Beach which is a lovely sandy beach with great views over to the Isle of Wight. It has Avon Cafe and The Noisy Lobster. (avon-beach.noisylobster.co.uk) which I have heard but not tried yet has a great fish menu in the evening and its more of a cafe for breakfast and lunch.

Take a short walk to the quay for the best crabbing in the country! This is where you can catch the short ferry over to the beach huts on Mudeford Spit for a relaxed day at the beach. Enjoy a relaxing beer while the sun goes down at the cafe/bar!

Stunning beach with views out to the Isle of White one way and the inlet towards Mudeford the other. There is a ferry ride from the quay to the beach takes minutes
