In the alley behind Shepherd’s Bush Market are large, witty painted signs, ‘Let’s go for a spin’ and ‘It’ll all come out in the wash’, that nod to the site’s former use as a laundry. Now it’s home to the Old Laundry Yard, West London’s newest street-food market, where 72 shipping containers are quickly becoming a favourite neighbourhood hangout. U+I is the brains behind this creative, multi-faceted space, which is also a base for community workshops and events.
