grab a beer at Kastaniengarten, the beer garden that sits at the top of the schlossberg. It feels like drinking in the clouds. It reminded me of drinking a beer in the Letna Beer Garden, which is my top recommendation for visiting Prague. An afternoon spent in a beer garden may be one of the best things to do in Freiburg – or any city!

Maybe the nicest beergarden in town. For sure the one with the best view. You sit under chestnut trees and will enjoy the panoramic view. On weekends often crowded. Perfect for early birds.
