This is a pleasant hike, all paved road. To the end of the hike, you can see beautiful view of Waimea beach. Very peaceful spot. Might need to park somewhere and walk to the entrance during COVID.
Right down the road you will find, Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument with sacred Hawaiian ruins, hiking trails and stunning views that bring you back in time.
The largest heiau on the island and one of the most sacred historic sites on the island. There is not a lot to see but the place has a special 'mana' or power in the area. Take some time to soak in the history and imagine being here where human sacrifices took place.
