On y accède depuis la rue piétonne de Sion, en empruntant une route qui monte à la colline où se situe le château de Valère. On y trouve un musée avec les vestiges de l'antiquité et des hommes qui vivaient dans ces contées il y a déjà 6000 ans! On y trouve dans le château une église avec un orgue médiéval, un des plus anciens d'Europe.
