Hardcastle Crags is a beautiful wooded valley not far from Hebden Bridge. A great place for a walk, particularly during the week as weekends can be busy.

With over 15 miles of footpaths and a 19th century cotton mill set in the middle of the valley this is a lovely, picturesque place to visit. The river walk to the Mill is the most impressive but can be pretty slippy on wet days, there is an easier route along the gravel road which also leads to the Mill and the café.

Hardcastle Craggs is the local National Trust park. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Hebden. It’s an amazing place that they call ‘Little Switzerland’, there is also food and drink available in the converted mill.
