Just a 5-minute drive from AltaVista you can find Costa Rica's first gourmet coffee roaster. They offer coffee tours and have a nice cafeteria. We recommend the Classic Coffee Tour + Lunch.

This is a very engaging tour that shows you how the coffee you drink everyday is made before it gets yo your table. The grounds are beautiful.
