These guys nail the Marrickville local vibe, while also calling to mind the small bars of Melbourne. The drinks list is heavy on Australian craft beers, gin, and wines, which you can sip out on the street, inside amongst antiques and eclectic memorabilia, or in the beer garden, which looks like a backyard carport with partial shelter—nice if it’s raining. Local musos play folk and country-style acoustic gigs several nights a week, so check their website and Facebook page for the live-music schedule. Fiona, the owner, plays stand-up bass, so you might find her on stage plucking a ditty herself.
