TOP VALLEY TREK (this trek is near our Footprint property and included free with the stay) Top Valley is rooted in the history of Munnar and Top Station was the upper terminus of an aerial ropeway that was used by the British in the early 1900s' to transport tea and goods from Munnar to Tamil Nadu. Your trek route overlooks Top Valley which lies at the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The trek commences in the tea plantations of Yellapatty and quickly moves through dense Shola forests and grasslands on the hilltop for a spectacular view of the landscape reaching into Tamil Nadu.This trek is ideal for nature lovers because it is perfect to spot most of the endemic birds, wildlife in Munnar. *During the rains there are chances to encounter leeches, and therefore we will provide leech socks as a precaution.
