At this contemporary art gallery, you can book onto special Crib Notes tours of the current exhibition, designed for parents with babies and toddlers to engage little ones and stop parents fretting about being noisy and disruptive in the usually quiet gallery setting. It’s basically for people who like art and also happen to have children. Get on their mailing list and book a family workshop in advance. They’re brilliant, and you actually get to work with the artist. Last time we went, we made elaborate masks and headdresses, then there was a parade and a little disco.

The Whitechapel Gallery (very local to here!) champions contemporary art. Founded in 1901 to bring art to the people of east London, it is now internationally acclaimed for its exhibitions, education and event programmes. In the past, the gallery premiered artists such as Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko.

The Gallery is a touchstone for contemporary art, it plays a central role in London’s cultural landscape and is pivotal to the continued growth of the world’s most vibrant contemporary art quarter. What's better, it is only 15 mins away!
