The street market is present on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and is a must for any visitor. Buy groceries and flowers, and try traditional Dutch delicacies such as handmade syrup waffles or raw herring.

The weekly returning Street market starts at 8:00 uur and ends at 17:00 uur. You should go there for the fresh food. You can buy flowers, nuts, fresh food, fish and fruit. Great atmosphere!

Try herring during the market days or buy very old dutch cheese (Wednesday & Saturday in the city center -> Aalmarkt, 2312 JC).

De markt biedt een keur van streekproducten als kaas en bloemen. Ook veel vis en mediterrane marktkramen. Aan de Oude RIjn, de Nieuwe Rijn zijn er veel terrassen en eetgelegenheden. De buurt van de Hooglandse kerk en de Pieterskerk is tevens een aanrader.
