Lets not forget "Caplin Gulch" where, in late June/July you can see the caplin “roll” as they come into the shore to spawn on the beach. If the conditions are right, icebergs may be seen in the bay. Great place any time of year. Access from both ends through the main entrance or Caplin Gulch. Freshwater swimming area with cookhouse/playground right across the street from Main entrance

Beautiful white sand, walking and hiking trails near by. I used to love swimming in Crooked Tree park, it is near Sandy Cove beach. Since Hurricane Igor the crooked trees were destroyed.
