For my friends second wedding, I was asked to sign for them as a witness, as I did for her first wedding. This time I bought the dress that I wore from here with a matching flowery handbag. False tan, nails done. I had been to a beauty event in selfridges in Manchester by Armani and tried on loads of expensive dresses, but chose the Tesco one instead. Vernon Kay worked here with a 6th form friend of mine before he became famous. I once spent £40 on bbq meat in Tesco club card vouchers for a family camping trip , for my dad to wind us up and buy a rat burger from a burger van instead of eating my bbq meat! I sulked and laughed! Many friends and family members have worked here over the years. My older brother cycled all the way there and back on Xmas eve to get me a pink care bear which had just come back in stock and was the present of the year. I still have the care bear. ( I’ve got three in my collection now, a pink, a blue and a big yellow one) David Gray, Babylon. I fill my car up with petrol every so often here. The last time, I recognised the girl behind the counter as a former gcse student of mine from twenty years ago . So I chatted with her. She didn’t even recognise me. She couldn’t tell me what gcse grade she got. I thought great that! I nearly kill myself every year trying to get the children to get good gcse grades to set them up for the rest of their lives. You see them 3 days out of 5 minimum for 5 years sometimes more. I’ll not bother saying hello next time.
