Lake Parramatta Reserve is a 73 hectare bushland and parkland reserve. It is the largest bushland remnant surviving in the Parramatta Local Government Area. It is also recognised as one of the most significant and beautiful bushland remnants in Western Sydney. Lake Parramatta is now open for public swimming and water recreation activities. The reserve is also popular for picnicking, aquatic activities and bushwalking, with a visitors kiosk open on weekends. The reserve is open all year round, with the main gate opening at 6:30am and closed at 5:30pm (7:30pm during daylight saving).
