Brixham is a lovely nearby fishing village with an old harbour and pier where it is fun to take a stroll around, look at the boats, grab some fish and chips and maybe imagine the pirates walking past in bygone days. There is also a boat that runs from Torquay to Brixham, right across Torbay, which is a lovely excursion.

Brixham Harbour is located on the southern side of Tor Bay and boasts one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK, plus a thriving fish market to support it.

A 50 minute car ride to this quaint seaside town. Head for the harbour and finish off with a meal at the Rockfish overlooking the harbour. Seals frolicking in the harbour waters

You must visit Brixham. Home to the biggest Pirate weekend, held every May. Rockfish restaurant. Parking can be difficult throughout July/August so avoid mid day. See my tip on taking the ferry, £3 return!!!!
