Very special wooded valley opening out to the mouth of the Trevillett stream, situated just below The Granary. Bronze age maze rock carvings and ruined mill, plus spectacular rock formations. Good as a start to South West Coast Path walk to either Tintagel or Boscastle.
Short walk along the river Trevillet leads you to the sea. You can then walk north or south along the coastal path. Very dramatic after heavy rainfall but you must be very careful when the sea is rough!!
Follow the river Trevillett through this narrow gorge, originally known as Crockett's Tor Valley which dates back to the Upper Devonian Age (377-363 million years ago). Crags, smooth rocks, gullies, cataracts and deep chasms have been formed from the river's erosive power. Further up the valley maze cravings can be found on a rock face behind the ruins of an old roman mill.

A lovely hidden gem which can be included on a lovely circular walk from Bossiney or Tintagel.
