This fascinating Victorian building built in 1790 has a colourful history and offers stunning views of the lake. The station is a short uphill walk from Ferry House jetty and is well worth a visit with historical information and courtyard café. Take the Windermere ferry from Bowness which runs every 40 minutes.
Recently refurbished by the National Trust. A superb location to Windermere and the surrounding fells. Just a stones throw away from the Cuckoo Brow Inn and a ‘miles without stiles route’ up the west side of Lake Windermere to Wray Castle.
Great view point easily accessed! Little bit different with the stained glass.
Beautiful views across Lake Windermere, a sweet cafe and a lovely walk along the lake edge
