This clock tower is one of the symbols of Antalya and it is one of the entrances to the Old City (Kaleici).

One of the landmarks in Antalya. It was tower for defence from Roman empire era, later it turned into clock tower at Ottaman era. You can see detailed info when you visit the tower.

Although there is no definite information about who and when this clock tower was built, it is thought that it was dedicated to the 25th year of Sultan Abdulhamit II's accession to the throne. The year of its construction corresponds to the year 1901. There are clocks on all four sides of the square body clock tower. There is a bell at the top.
