The grounds are open to the public year round, woods are stunning, especially in bluebell season. Take the path through the gap in the stone wall just down from the shop on the left hand side of the road. You can cross the river at the stepping stones when the the river is low, but please avoid the wooden bridge to the south of the abbey itself. Dogs are allowed, but be aware there are deer in the woods.
