Fiveran has a great selection of bakery items and a nice quiet back area for coffee and reading. The strawberry chocolate biscuit is probably my favourite sweet in Kyoto. Opens at 9am. Fiveran is located on Muromachi Street (2 blocks west of Karasuma). It is just north of Sanjo, on the east side of the street.
