A small roadside ice cream store in between Chigasaki Station and Southern Beach is a great place to drop by when you’re on your way back from surfing here. Bicycles owned by local kids living in the neighborhood are often lined up in front of the store, which also serves seasonal flavors of sumptuous, melt-in-your-mouth gelato. Once a year, early in the summer, they hold an ice cream food fight here. There’s different competition categories, like in a tournament—kids, women, and so on—and each of the winners gets a free pass for a year’s worth of ice cream at the shop.
