Piapia Beach is another three minutes past Te Ngaere. Sheltered east facing sandy beach with ancient Pohutukawas to retreat under and good rock pools for exploring at low tide. Excellent swimming beach. You park on the road and walk across a reserve. This is iwi land, with beach access lovingly shared, respect as with all beaches and leave no trace.
