The National Trust owned beach of Gunwalloe sits at the base of the Lizard Peninsula. It is a pretty little cove with a good sized stretch of golden sand backed by gently sloping grassy dunes. Perhaps the most notable feature of Gunwalloe beach though, is the little church tucked away at the northern end.
Lifeguarded beach in the summer, with small shop and toilets. A church sits at the back of the beach, which has been used as a location for Poldark. One of our favourite family beaches
This is a stunning beach 6 minutes drive away, but remote and beautiful even on a stormy day .Its favourite location for filmmaking including Poldark. Additionally there is Porthleven beach 5 minutes away featuring the clocktower that is famously seen on news bulletins during SW storms
