Our local town that can meet all of your short term needs. There are 2 small supermarkets and the local butcher can provide everything you need for a great BBQ. The farmers market on a Friday is also worth a visit. There's a great walk around the castle grounds and this is a fabulous place for a picnic.
Newcastle Emlyn is a busy market town on the beautiful River Teifi. There are antique shops, quirky craft shops, pubs, restaurants, take aways and cafes etc.
Delightfulmlocal town with plenty of cafes, gift shops and castle ruin where the last dragon in Wales was seen
We go there mainly to visit the antique and craft shops. The ruined castle overlooks the river Teifi, and there are some nice places to eat and drink in town.
The quaint little town of Newcastle Emlyn is a short (6 minutes) drive away. It has great arts, crafts and antique shops, is a "Fair Trade" town and has a delicatessen, an independant health food shop and several nice cafes and restaurants. The town itself is picturesque, with its pretty clock tower and with a ruined castle with a dragon wood carved seat and river walk it makes it well worth a visit.
