Amazing array of historical information, maps, photos and buildings. Upstairs there is an excellent display of local arts and crafts for sale. Closed Tuesdays.
The MIHCC and Museum are literally just across the road. You'll find helpful staff that are ready to tell you fantastic tales about the history of Magnetic Island, and the characters that have inhabited it. Shipwrecks surround the island, so they also have information on these if you're interested. There is a small shop and a separate building full of information. Magnetic Island also has many artists and galleries. Most will welcome you, but you may want to call them first to arrange an appointment. Just go to: whatsonmagenticisland.com.au and look for the 'Artists & Galleries' tab on the right.
