Fort Tauco (or Fortín Tauco) was a battery built by the Spaniards around the 1770's. It was intended to guard the coastal entrance that leads to the gulf of Castro. It currently holds a wooden structure that gives you an idea of how the buildings could have been arranged, after being neglected for decades. Free of any charges; however, you will need a car to get there.

Visita que vale la pena, por su vista y reconocimiento histórico. Este fortin ha sido recuperado y hoy cuenta con isntalaciones que permiten obtener una mejor vista del lugar.
