Martello towers are small defensive forts that were built by the British in response to a threatened invasion by Napoleon Bonaparte at the beginning of the 19th century. Today, Martello Tower in Howth is house’s a vintage radio museum that exhibits radios and gramophones from the early 1900s to the present day.
