The Bogey Hole - also known as the Commandants Baths, was constructed in around 1830 by convict labour at the order of Lieutenant Colonel James Thomas Morisset (Commandant of Newcastle) as his personal use. Great historical site to visit and enjoy a dip!
Great historical swimming hole ! Up Watt St to King Edward Park. Bottom of park !!!
King Edward park has spectacular ocean views, Norfolk Island pines and a sunken garden usually ablaze of colour. On the southern boundary are the remains of the Shepherds Hill Battery and Gunner's Cottage which were in regular use from 1890 to World War II.
