Bab Bou Jeloud (also spelled Bab Boujeloud or Bab Boujloud) is an ornate city gate in Fes el Bali, the old city of Fez, Morocco. The current gate dates was built by the French colonial administration in 1913 to serve as the grand entrance to the old city.
Bab Boujloud is one of the most important gates of the ancient wall. For many, this is the main entrance to Fez El Bali. Built in the twelfth century, the Bab Boujloud Gate was originally part of the Boujloud Kasbah. The door consists of three doors, two smaller symmetrical. The door is covered with blue ceramics, the color of the city of Fez on the outside and green, the color of Islam on the medina side. It was made of cedar wood and carved stucco that will be restored soon. The last major restoration of the door dates from 1912 The door is between the district Boujloud where is the Bou Inania Madrasa and Fes el-Jdid where is currently the Lycee Moulay Idriss I and the Jnan Sbil Garden and the Royal Palace Dar el Makhzen.
