Recently renovated, fort Saint Jean is a fascinating historical monument, that also boasts some of the best paniramis views of Marseille
Go from the fort to the Mucem and back to have a nice overview and discover some local history
it is very beautiful. View on the harbour of Marseille, the old fishermen, the kids who dive and the boats that pass, all before arriving on the bridge of the Mucem suspended above the sea. One does not tire of it because the Fort is labyrinthine: several exhibitions, events, several cafes to wander. Sun loungers in free access to sunbathe. And then this superb Mediterranean garden, sober, dry and totally exotic. A pleasure to see that these modest essences, which smell more garrigue than greenhouse, have the right of city in this prestigious place. A small breath of childhood memory, rosemary and cistus on the sea. Favorite.
